New York City Marble Cemetery

Contrary to popular belief (or my brother, anyway) this is not a place where all the marbles are buried.

Actual quite cool, The New York Marble Cemetery has some rather famous people buried there in underground marble vaults. Click the link to find out more, this is quite a fascinating landmark.

This beloved concert venue of the East Village leaves behind a light post adorned with mosaics and not much more. Unless of course you would consider dropping $1,500.oo for a vintage T on ebay.

I know the mission of this blog is to leave the zip code and see new things. But every once in awhile something amazing presents itself INSIDE the comfort zone. Believe it or not this shot was taken at the back of my local supermarket parking lot. Running in to pick up dinner in my usual rushed way at the end of an awful rainy day, this amazing sunset peaked through the trees over the fence.
